As collaborations go, Supreme is on the cusp of over-saturation. With ongoing partnerships with Lacoste, Timberland and Levi’s, as well as sell-out hook-ups with Louis Vuitton and Larry Clark, the team behind the skate brand knows where to focus its attention.
Now, after rumours were swirling earlier this week thanks to the Instagram account Dropsbyjay, Supreme has announced that its latest collab will be with the Batman-approved Lamborghini.
The collection is a brightly coloured beacon of positivity in these times of unease. With a heavy nod to Automobili Lamborghini‘s racing heritage, the collection consists of separates in hues of acidic green and bold orange, paying homage to the Italian brand’s most sought-after styles: the Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador.
The standout piece might just be a racetrack-ready boiler suit featuring Lambo and Supreme logo details, which we reckon Tyler, The Creator will want in on. Other favourites include 1990s hip hop scene-worthy oversized V-neck sweaters and quilted, zip-up, hooded jackets. And all come complete with the supercar brand’s now iconic bull motif, which can be traced back to its inception in 1963 (Ferruccio Lamborghini’s zodiac sign is Taurus). It’s a collection more than worthy of The Italian Job‘s Rossano Brazzi.
But you’ll need to be speedy if you want to cop a piece of the capsule. Releasing this Thursday at the typical time of 11am, due to the current climate and the closures of all shops across the UK, the one and only shot at getting some Lamborghini x Supreme gear is on the website.
