{"id":6675,"date":"2023-02-23T10:37:47","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T10:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mmr.ndh.mybluehost.me\/?p=6675"},"modified":"2023-02-23T12:22:09","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T12:22:09","slug":"citroen-and-playmobil-partner-to-create-the-citroen-2cv-playmobil-set","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalicons.com\/02-2023\/citroen-and-playmobil-partner-to-create-the-citroen-2cv-playmobil-set","title":{"rendered":"Citro\u00ebn and Playmobil partner to create the Citro\u00ebn 2CV Playmobil set"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Citro\u00ebn has partnered with Playmobil to turn the iconic Citro\u00ebn 2CV into a Playmobil set, 75 years after the launch of the real car.<\/li><li>Displayed in a presentation box alongside numerous characters and accessories, the Citro\u00ebn 2CV Playmobil boasts many authentic details from the original 2CV.<\/li><li>The 2CV Playmobil was shown for the first time on Citro\u00ebn\u2019s stand at the Retromobile show in Paris earlier this month.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Citro\u00ebn has partnered with Playmobil, the 50-year-old toy manufacturer, to turn the iconic Citro\u00ebn 2CV into a Playmobil set, 75 years after the model\u2019s initial launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2CV Playmobil was shown for the first time on Citro\u00ebn\u2019s stand at the Retromobile show in Paris, introducing the iconic car to a new generation of fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CITRO\u00cbN 2CV PLAYMOBIL \u2013 A PLEASING NOD TO THE PAST<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Featuring many authentic details from the car itself, the 2CV Playmobil offers space for four Playmobil figures and is full of charming features, such as a true-to-the-original interior, a tailgate that can be opened, characteristic front headlights and a removable hood. &nbsp;The Playmobil Citro\u00ebn 2CV toy set comes with three characters and a wide array of accessories, including a sheet of repositionable stickers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1948 \u2013 THE BIRTH OF THE LEGENDARY 2CV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2CV was first unveiled to the public in 1948, and it remained in production until 1990. &nbsp;During that time, the car was continuously adapted and updated \u2013 but it never lost sight of its original purpose: it had to be simple to manufacture, affordable and easy to maintain. In its 42-year production run, 5,114,969 2CVs were made, including 1,246,335 van versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally, the 2CV was powered by a small twin-cylinder engine that produced a very distinctive sound. &nbsp;With its 375cc 9hp engine, the very first 2CVs valiantly reached speeds of 37mph. Developments followed in quick succession, resulting in a final version with a 602cc 29hp engine, which pushed the final production 2CVs to a record top speed of 71mph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The long life of the 2CV was marked by numerous changes in design and equipment.&nbsp; In 1957, a boot lid was introduced to replace its canvas predecessor; in 1964, the rear-hinged front doors were abandoned and replaced by doors that opened conventionally; in 1966, rear windows were introduced; and then in 1967, the Ami 6&#8217;s dashboard was adopted for the car. &nbsp;In 1960, a very special version, the four-wheel-drive 2CV with two engines, one at the front and one at the rear, also marked the history of the 2CV, bringing it into the world of all-terrain vehicles. &nbsp;The first van version of the 2CV was launched in 1951 and the final models could carry payloads of up to 400kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Numerous limited-edition models were launched throughout the 2CV\u2019s life, including: the Charleston with its two-tone paintwork; the blue-white-red Cocorico, a nod to the 1986 football World Cup; and the yellow 007 version with its black \u201cbullet hole\u201d adhesive motifs inspired by the James Bond film \u2018For Your Eyes Only\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vehicle\u2019s rich history, and longevity, has made the 2CV a pop culture icon \u2013 and Citro\u00ebn is pleased to be able to introduce the car to a whole new generation of fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Playmobil | Citro\u00ebn 2CV | Car\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sYZY6hGHkUs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.media.stellantis.com\/uk-en\/citroen\/press\/citroen-and-playmobil-partner-to-create-the-citroen-2cv-playmobil-set\">https:\/\/www.media.stellantis.com\/uk-en\/citroen\/press\/citroen-and-playmobil-partner-to-create-the-citroen-2cv-playmobil-set<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Citro\u00ebn has partnered with Playmobil to turn the iconic Citro\u00ebn 2CV into a Playmobil set, 75 years after the launch of the real car.
